Remember your first love? No, I'm not talking about Bambi in high school, I'm talking about your first amplifier crush...mine was the Phoenix Gold MS-250. It was first introduced in 1990 and shortly thereafter became the MS-275. This amp was simple, yet elegant and had attention to detail like few other amps at the time. The internals touted a 24-ct gold plated circuit board and large gauge wiring, carefully executed in what I would consider amplifier art status. Yes, these are beautiful enough to mount on your wall....but don't think they are just about the looks. They have power and SQ to boot. Let's find out more about the MS-275.
